Julie and Julia

The title character Julie, in Julie and Julia : 365 Days, 524 Recipes, 1 Tiny Apartment Kitchen veers wildly between likeable and whiny in this memoir of her quest to cook every recipe in Mastering the Art of French Cooking in a calendar year. At times I just wanted her to shut up an act like an adult. This book would probably have been best left as a blog, but it did pass the time. I think my next food related book will be Garlic and Sapphires : The Secret Life of a Critic in Disguise. It sounds a little more grown up.
