In lieu of Shiva Rea's prenatal yoga

When Amazon told me that the prenatal yoga video I'd ordered wouldn't actually get here until after the baby was born, I did a search on the library website to see if I could borrow one to get me through the next few weeks. It turns out you can't reserve DVDs online, but I did end up with Itsy Bitsy Yoga, which is just as cute as can be, and The Yoga Mamas which I read in its entirety the other night.

A little more than an hour and a half after picking it up, I'd finished the story of Laura, a freelance ad something or other who joins a prenatal yoga class assuming she has nothing in common with the rich, trendy Manhattanites in the class. Because it's chick lit, she immediately makes friends with the other mamas to be and learns something along the way.

The story is likeable, predictable and easy to read. It required no brain power whatsoever, and I was able to fall right to sleep after reading it. And that's all it takes to make me happy these days.
