The Devil in the White City

The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic and Madness at the Fair that Changed America, is non-fiction that reads like non-fiction. Erik Larson tells the story of two men- Burnham an architect responsible for constructing the fair, and Holmes a serial killer. Surprisingly, both men's stories are equally compelling. I never dreamed that I'd find a story about the 1893 Chicago World's Fair interesting, yet I had trouble putting the book down at night. Good stuff.
